- Thiru-KCopper ContributorCan some guidance/usecase be posted around how the co-pilot capability can be used in conjunction with powerapps?
- DanNarlochFormer EmployeeThank you for your question. Please read the ‘Automate smarter than ever before with AI Builder and Copilot in Power Automate’ blog to help answer your questions. https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/automate-smarter-than-ever-before-with-ai-builder-and-copilot-in-power-automate/
- GarrettFoyCopper ContributorHow can we prepare (other than security/infrastructure policies) our users/team members to get the most out of Copilot before it is released? Will Microsoft release training documentation and videos on how to use Copilot in its products effectively and efficiently?
- DanNarlochFormer EmployeeThanks for the question at Garrett Foy. We have our Getting Ready for Microsoft 365 Copilot blog here (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-copilot/how-to-prepare-for-microsoft-365-copilot/ba-p/3851566) with suggestions. Also, when we release to general availability we will have learning paths, and documentation to support organizations on how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- GarrettFoyCopper ContributorThanks for the reply. I was hoping to get information more on how we can proactively train those who are going to be using Copilot, not how we can prepare from a administrative standpoint. If learning modules will only be released with the public launch, then we can't really be proactive about it.

My company is preparing company policy for use with AI and we're creating processes to get different vendors on the 'approved' list. Microsoft AI and Copilot are what I consider easy places to start (they are contained with some protections in place) and we already have access to them. I want my company to get Microsoft on the approved list first because the low risk and the ease of entry. Is there an email address or a place I can tell our CTO to contact for an assessment so I can get copilot on my company's approved list? The company's biggest fear is proprietary information getting out and if I can demonstrate that's not a problem with Microsoft, I can get approval for Microsoft AI and Copilot.
- GarrettFoyCopper ContributorNot a MS rep, but I can speak to Copilot and PowerAutomate since I've been using OpenAI's API in PowerAutomate for the better half of this summer. We've found strong use cases in classification and labeling, such as taking a user's issue and assigning a corresponding priority (low - critical), which allows a standardized method of assigning priority without individual bias. I think you could also leverage Copilot to write unique responses to forms instead of templated responses.
- Peter_JarischCopper Contributor1.) Will there be a Copilot for Visio too? 2.) Can Copilot be used even if labeling and Compliance Manager is not fully deployed?
- SanjayRamaswamyFormer Employee
Hi Peter, 1. We have not made any announcements for Copilot in Visio yet. 2. Yes, but would love to understand your question more. Thanks!
- Peter_JarischCopper ContributorThanks regarding Visio If a customer has DLP policies in place, but is not finished with rolling out sensitivity labels for example, would this be an issue? I think in the article it is related to as "oversharing information"
- Sarah_GilbertSilver ContributorPlease try to post questions as a separate comment each time which will help our team. Thank you!
- BA_MaxIron ContributorIs it okay that some replies we've already posted have multiple Qs in or do you need us to split them all out?
- arun_kumar_perumalCopper ContributorFew questions 1. How can customers enable licensed given for early access program without impacting security/configurations 2. How can we limit the copilot product only for certain applications like word, excel but not for outlook. 3. Can you share more details on the privacy assessment that shall be done for each organisation
- DanNarlochFormer EmployeeHi Arun, Thanks for the questions! Please see responses below. 1. Microsoft 365 Copilot is integrated into Microsoft 365 and automatically inherits all your company’s valuable security, compliance, and privacy policies and processes. Data permissions will be consistent, and users will only be able to search the information they already have access to. Review this post on how to approach content management as you prepare your organization to use Copilot. New era in content management and security in SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams - Microsoft Community Hub (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365-blog/new-era-in-content-management-and-security-in-sharepoint/ba-p/3806083 and the Microsoft Mechanics readiness video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeX0lsMA69U&feature=youtu.be 2. We will share more information about available controls at a later date, ensuring admins can prepare for the change in advance. 3. Copilot automatically inherits your organization’s security, compliance, and privacy policies for Microsoft 365. Data is managed in line with our current commitments to data privacy and security. You can review Microsoft’s privacy policy and service documentation for more information. Additionally, we have information on how Microsoft Priva can help with privacy assessments on a Learn article here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/solutions/data-privacy-protection-assess?view=o365-worldwide

Welcome to the Microsoft 365 Copilot Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA)! This live hour gives you the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Microsoft team. Please post any questions in a separate, new comment thread on this event. Microsoft team- please introduce yourself on this thread to let the customers know who you are and what you do!
**A quick note to address some of the recurring questions we’re seeing. While we are not addressing licensing/pricing/availability questions in this AMA, Microsoft 365 Copilot will be an add-on license available for Microsoft E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium customers to begin. More information will be provided in future.

Hi everybody! I'm Kevin Sherman and am a Director of Marketing for M365 Copilot
- GarrettFoyCopper Contributor
1. Will the early access program be opened to more Microsoft clients before the public is given access, or is the EAP closed until public release?
(moving the other questions to separate comments per request)
- alliethompsonFormer EmployeeHi Garrett! You can work with your Microsoft account team to learn more about the paid preview program. Since it is a preview and we are learning with our customers, space is limited for this phase. Reach out to your account team to let them know you are interested in participating.
- Ken EwertFormer Employee#3 Copilot takes a dependency on Azure Open AI services which provides the pre-trained models. No M365 customer data is used for training the AOAI models. #4 Since M365 Copilots are native to the M365 applications themselves there is no direct dependency on EDGE.
- Ellya_GoldBrass ContributorMy two Q's... Will Copilot be aware of Microsoft 365 product updates/M365 Roadmap? It would be great to ask Copilot to summarise all the recent updates for Teams, SharePoint, Lists or Excel for example. We could really use that output to post in our M365 Adoption community on Engage. Would save a bunch of investigation time! :) Will there be a Learning Path for Copilot Administration in Microsoft Learn and an associated certification? Cheers, Ellya
- Ben_Summers
Microsoft
Hi Ellya. Copilot is aware of and can summarize any information that's in the public domain. So, if it's information that we've published on our public roadmap, you can ask about it. Obviously, NDA/internal roadmap content is not available. Also - we will publish a learning path for Copilot administration. I don't have extact dates yet but know it's coming.
- Michael McNettBrass ContributorWhat are the dependencies / interactions / requirements, if any, between Microsoft 365 Copilot and Windows Copilot?
- KevinSherman
Microsoft
We haven't announced any interactions between Microsoft 365 Copilot and Windows Copilot.- Michael McNettBrass ContributorThank you.
