First, the Android and online apps are inferior by their design.

I use both, but not for document editing.
The problems may be your Internet connection. They may be caused by problems with Microsoft's servers. Consider taking your notes in a different app and then copying and pasting into Word to do your formatting. Again, if you can, you will be ahead using the desktop application.
With the online app, changing browsers can help, but you've already tried that.
