Word won't open on mac

Quite often when I change the style of text in Word (Office 365), my cursor disappears. I have found that to get it back I can press the Alt key twice. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? The method has been tried but the cursor missing issue just persists. My last try is to uninstall Office (referred this https://www.drbuho.com/how-to/uninstall-apps-mac) and install the latest version. It works by now, I guess it can solve your issues too.
