Mitch_C is this problem only on office 365 2019 for mac
i use macOS High Sierra ver 10.13.6
ive installed office 2019 ver 16.19 and everything works fine except Word
i get *microsoft error reporting*
i keep getting *There was a problem and Microsoft Word was closed. We apologize for the inconvenience* (plus it wont even launch in the first place)
i think i have a different problem but cant find a solution anywhere, pls help.
- jnemoJul 17, 2019Copper ContributorI tried this method and my Mac's First Aid only repairs the volume, not 'Repair Disk Permissions.'
- Mitch_CJun 08, 2018Copper ContributorIf the above fails move all the office apps to trash.
Login to portal.office com and download and install the software again.
Good luck I hope one of the options resolves the issue for you.- paulinepsNov 27, 2018Copper Contributor
none of that works.
moved everything to trash twice. properly uninstalled. re-downloaded and re-installed.
did the disk utility thing. the library does not have that microsoft file com.microsoft.Word.plist.
why is this happening? obviously it's a common problem.
remember the good ole days? when it all just worked?
sigh.
