Word Pro Plus 2021 Modern Resume Template. Too much space.

I used the modern resume template to create a resume.  From the looks of the document, I think the various sections (education, job skills, experience, etc) is set up as tables in two columns.

There is too much space between the job skills table and the experience table, and yet no matter what I do, I can't slide up the experience table closer to the one above it to get everything on one page.  I right clicked on each table, and selected Table properties.  Nothing there.  Enabled paragraph symbols.  No paragraph or line symbols in the offensive blank space.  Tried to look at paragraph formatting.  Nothing obvious there as well.

What am I missing?

    1. Adjust paragraph spacing: Select the text, click on “Layout” or “Paragraph” tab.
In the “paragraph” settings, adjust the “paragraph before” and “after” spacing for a smaller value of 0 or 6pt
    2. Modify the line spacing:
Select the text, click the “paragraph” settings in the “line spacing” option.
Select “single-spaced” or “fixed value”, and set the smaller value of 12pt
    3. Remove redundant blank lines:
Check your document for unnecessary blank lines and delete them manually.
    4. Adjust the margins:
Click the “Layout” tab and select “Margins”.
Select Narrow or Custom Margins to reduce page margins.
    5. Use a table layout:
If the resume template uses a table layout, adjust the margins and spacing of the table cells:
Right-click on the table and select “Table Properties”.
In the Cells tab, adjust the margins to a smaller value.
    6. Customize the template:
If the default template does not fit, you can create a custom template:
Modify an existing template or design from scratch.
Save as a new template file (.dotx) for later use.
