Word Online on Lenovo Yoga Tablet Plus (Android 15): Lines Disappears
Description:
I am experiencing a device-specific issue in Microsoft Word Online using both Edge and Chrome browsers on my Lenovo Yoga Tabl Plus (Android 15, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB RAM, 13 Inch Screen).
Issue details:
- When I press the Enter key, the current line disappears.
- Pressing the up or down arrow keys causes the cursor to jump two lines at a time, and the line at the cursor also disappears.
- This behavior is repeatable, disrupts editing, and results in loss of text.
What I have tried so far:
- Tested both Edge and Chrome browsers (latest versions, desktop mode); same result.
- Tried Gboard, Microsoft SwiftKey, and a physical keyboard; problem persists.
- Disabled Predictive Text, Text Magnification, Text Auto-correction, and all similar features.
- Cleared browser cache and cookies.
- Tried Incognito/Private mode in both browsers.
- Issue occurs in all documents in Word Online, not just specific files.
- Excel Online and PowerPoint Online do *not* have this problem on the same device.
- The issue does *not* occur when using Word Online on my Samsung S24 Ultra (Android 15) or Ubuntu laptop.
- The native Word app is unaffected, but lacks some needed features.
- I have the Microsoft Subscription and use it in my Desktop (Win 11). The tablet is for my travel.
This appears to be a rendering or input handling bug specific to Word Online with my device/browser combo.
Any suggestions or is there any known workaround until this bug is addressed?
Thank you for your help!

Consider this as workarounds:
- Use the Native Word App Temporarily
- While it lacks some advanced features, the native Word app on Android does not exhibit this bug.
- You can edit in the app and switch to Word Online for final formatting or advanced features on another device.
- Switch to Mobile View Instead of Desktop Mode
- Even though desktop mode is preferred for full features, try switching back to mobile view in Chrome or Edge.
- Try Firefox Browser
- Firefox on Android uses a different rendering engine than Chromium-based browsers.
- It’s not officially supported for Word Online, but some users have had better luck avoiding this bug.
- Use a Remote Desktop App
- If you need full Word Online functionality while traveling, consider using Microsoft Remote Desktop or Chrome Remote Desktop to access your Windows PC from the tablet.
