"Word has encountered a problem" in Word 2021 on Windows 11 when selecting Size and Position on img

Word 2021 on Windows 11 is very unreliable (see my other post on Table Properties crashing Word). From a new document I insert an image and then try and select "Size and Position" but always get a "Word has encountered a problem" dialog box.

    I wonder if this problem is connected to this issue in Outlook 2021 when using en-gb as the language setting (I'm in the UK so this is the default). See details of that (unsolved) issue here :-

    It sounds crazy but could this language setting be the cause of these problems in Word?
