Word formatting/tracking How do I stop the nonsense?

Would I need to "stop tracking" in all of my laptops? I simply want to be able to use all 3 laptops for this documents effortlessly. I want it to be like a piece of paper that I am simply taking from room to room. I need the changes to be visible in all three laptops, but without being continuously alerted to the changes being made (since they are being made by me).
- Track Changes on or off is a document setting, not a computer setting. When you turn it off, it stays off until you turn it back on again.
- What gets displayed for Track Changes, though, is a computer setting.
- to be clear...would I need to turn it off on all three laptops? They will continue to sync, right?
- in addition, how to I turn off the red lines that keep showing on the document. I basically want everything off since I modify the document multiple times per day on different laptops.
- First, if you do not want to track these at all, after you have turned off Track Changes, accept them all. That clears any potential markup as well as the history of changes.
To be clear, you turn it off for the document. That turns it off until and unless you turn it on again and it does not matter which computer it is opened on.
By the way, I would never be editing an important document in the online version of Word, only the desktop applications.
