Word document crashes
Every time I leave my word document open in my iPads and search for something and then get back to the document, it crashes, that is, it suddenly disappears. I did all the available suggestions to so...
The issue appears to be affecting iPads running iPadOS 18.3 or 17.7, particularly on newer models such as the iPad 11 and iPad 12.
What you can try further
- Disable Background App Refresh for Word:
- Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn it off for Word.
- Turn Off Split View and Multitasking Gestures:
- Go to Settings > Home Screen & Multitasking and disable Multitasking features.
- Use Word in Offline Mode:
- Sign out of your Microsoft account and try using Word without syncing to the cloud.
- Try the Web Version:
- Use Word Online via Safari or another browser as a temporary workaround.
