WORD can't stop underlining text
I cut and pasted a quotation. It was underlined. Now even when I delete it, the formatting has seized control of the page and everything I paste there is underlined. Control u does nothing. Its like a curse on the page.

I'd start looking for the Normal style: if it is undelined, edit it so it isn't underlined any more.
