I use the desktop version. I find it very strange if Microsoft should have changed the option of deleting a bullet point as we are used too in previouse versions. Nevertheless, that is the case here. Maybe I need to change some settings as Stefan suggests, but I don't know what.

You can try changing the setting I mentioned. You can always change it back if it doesn't make a difference.
Could you perhaps share a sample document with the forum, so that we can have a closer look?
