Word 365 for Mac not showing red lines under spelling errors…
I’m not sure what happened, but I think maybe someone sent a document with certain settings on it, and now I don’t see any of the red squiggly lines that highlight spelling and grammar errors on Word...

Select an obviously misspelled word and check its language setting. If you have language displayed in the Status bar, click there. Otherwise check the proofing language under the Review tab. This is NOT the same as your language preference setting.
Is "Do not check spelling or grammar" checked?
If it is, back out and select all the text in the document. Do the same thing except this time make sure that this is completely clear (unchecked, not solid).

I am a fellow user, not on a Mac, but this problem transcends operating systems.
