What is the right way to convert Word to PDF in bulk on a PC or Mac?
For a task involving multiple files, I prefer to use a batch converter rather than saving each Word file as a PDF manually.
PDFgear supports batch Word-to-PDF conversion on both Windows and macOS, so you can use the same workflow on your Windows 11 laptop or MacBook. Open the app, choose Word to PDF, add all of the DOC/DOCX files, select an output folder, and click Convert. The PDFs will be created in one batch instead of requiring you to open every document individually.
This is also easier to manage than a script if you are not comfortable with PowerShell or Automator. You can keep the original Word files in one folder and send all converted PDFs to another folder, which makes checking the results much simpler.
I would still test a few representative files first, particularly ones with complex tables, custom fonts, images, or section breaks. Once those files look correct, run the rest of the batch.
