TOC numbering incorrectly

emmaj0rdan In the body of the document, put the selection in the Chapter 1 heading and then click on the Multilevel List dropdown
and then on Define new Multilevel List
and then in the Define new Multilevel List dialog, click on the More button at the bottom left of the dialog and then click on 2 in the Click level to modify list and then check the box for "Restart list after:" and select Level 1 from the dropdown below it
Hi Doug_Robbins_Word_MVP thank you for the response. It is the latter; in the document they are labeled the same way as in the TOC. I'm not sure how to fix that with the numbering levels.
Edit: I am using a template provided by my university so I didn't set anything up, I'm just editing the template.

- emmaj0rdanAug 27, 2024Copper ContributorHello again, I know it is much later but I am working on this document again finally. It appears that the document just uses the numbering option, not a multilevel list, so perhaps that is where the issues lies. I might try to change it to multilevel but I fear that that will mess up the entire document's formatting.
