Text and images shifting
Hello, I am fairly new at using Word for the most part. We use Word 2013. I find that when I create my document, saving it as I go. I then close the document and then when I open later on, sometimes there are large blank areas and all my text and images have shifted. What would cause this type of behavior? I did create a template and use that for my documents. I use a lot of text boxes as labels. I have attached a sample below. I actually create these in Solidworks but have to add the text in Word using text boxes.

In Word, text boxes are anchored to text paragraphs in the document. It is possible for such a text box to move if the position of the text box is set relative to the margin (for example). If you want to, you can share a sample document, and I'll have a closer look. Make sure that you do not include any sensitive information in the sample document.

I would very strongly suggest that you assemble your images and the captions in a separate document and then make a screen shot and insert that into the actual document
Retain the document that you used to assemble the image in case there is a requirement for edits.
All images in the document should be inserted with the Text Wrapping set to "In-Line with Text"
If you follow this procedure, the chance of your document becoming corrupted as a result of mis-matched XML tab errors will be eliminated
