Styles spontaneous changes
I have all autoformatting turned off, and still when I pick a table cell and apply my formatting from the styles, Word randomly right justifies without me touching anything.
Microsoft needs to fully disable ALL algorithms running in the background. Some of us have been using computers since the 1980s, and we want our software to do what WE want. As it is, I share those styles with colleagues, and having our css dirtied by Word's random additions is undesirable. Something else must be going on in the background. Please do not suggest anything that requires admin permissions. As with nearly all companies now-a-days, we have no admin rights. Thanks!
Text formatting inside table cells is often confusing in Word, because of the convoluted hierarchy of styles and formatting. You need to make sure that the Normal style matches the document default settings (font & paragraph settings) in the document. Strange as it may seem, this will force Word to apply the correct formatting to text inside table cells, as you apply styles to text.
The quickest way to modify both the Normal style and the document defaults is to use the Font dialog box and the Set as Default button. (Repeat this with the Paragraph dialog box.) When prompted, choose to modify the defaults of the current document.
