How can I increase the distance between the automatic numbering and the chapter name in Styles in Word so that there is enough space between, for example, 1000. and the Chapter name for a neat image....
Adjust the tab stop position that follows the number symbol so that it can accommodate larger (wider) numbers as well. See http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/NumberAlignment.htm#NumberedLists.
Hi Stefan, I can't do that because, if I follow the instructions in your link, both the number and the Chapter name shift. So the whole thing moves to the right while I want the chapter number to remain and the chapter name to move to the right. Best regards to you and thank you.
