PaulBradbeer In word under the option select Advanced and set the image resolution to High fidelity or 330dpi as per your requirement, so the pdf output will be high res.

Hi Ganesh
Thanks for taking the time to comment but as I mentioned in the post even though the PNG's or JPEG's are stored in Word file in High Res and despite checking the Advanced dialogue for Image quality and setting the size at either High Fidelity or 330 and the Do not compress images set to ON - this still does not output to PDF at high res. I have tried with Word 2021 and an a fully updated version of Office 365 for Business version 2407 (Build 17830.20138).
