Same number at several places in document. When I change one I want them all to change?
If I have a number like BC#6543 mentioned several times in my document, I want to be able to change one of the instances and then all the other instances will change as well. How would I set this up?...
I immediately think of mapped content controls, but it may depend on how these numbers are supposed to work in your document.
For example, are we talking about one number which occurs in multiple places and may need updating, or could there be more than one set of numbers in one and the same document?
In other words, would one document have only "BC#6543" which may need updating, but there are never "BC#6543" and also "XX#1111" in that same doc?
