S Pen on tablet writing as an image
Hi there, I need some help with my S Pen on my Samsung Tablet. Whenever I try to write something on Word, it will automatically turn my text into a drawing/image. Is there anyway I can write stuff without that drawing box around my text? I've seen some online comments saying to press esc and open "options" on the app menu, but that option is not available on tablets, only on PCs. Thank you so much,
Camila

You may try this:
- Switch to Print Layout View: Word for Android defaults to Mobile View, which disables many features including proper inking. Tap the three-dot menu in Word and switch to Print Layout. This can unlock better pen behavior.
- Use Samsung Keyboard with Handwriting Input:
- Go to Settings > General Management > Samsung Keyboard Settings
- Scroll down to Handwriting and enable Pen detection
- This allows you to write with the S Pen and have it converted to text, rather than drawing.
- Try OneNote or Samsung Notes: If Word continues to treat handwriting as drawings, apps like OneNote or Samsung Notes offer smoother handwriting-to-text conversion. OneNote, for example, captures handwriting more fluidly and can convert it to text after you pause.
- Clear Word App Cache: Sometimes the app gets buggy. Go to Settings > Apps > Word > Storage > Clear Cache and restart the app.
