Hello, I was wondering if you could limit the number of references in a footnote bar. For instance, I have 7 footnotes and I want to limit them to 4, as the footnotes are quite big and they take up over half the page. I use word on Mac is there any way to do this?
There is no limit.
If you tell Word you want 30 footnotes on a page, it will do its best to put them there.
You need to control how many times you insert footnotes on a single page or perhaps switch to using Endnotes.
