No Heading

There are not any Headings styles in my Themes area unless I'm missing something which very well could be. Any ideas?

What you are seeing in the Gallery on the Design Tab are not Themes nor Styles but [Quick] Style Sets. The two are related and there is a drop-down menu for Themes or the left end of the Design Tab

.

If you download my Quick Styles Sampler and Themes Sampler you can use those two documents to quickly see the effect of different Quick Style Sets and Themes.

 

Briefly, a [Quick] Style Set changes that styles that appear in the [Quick] Styles Gallery on the Home Tab. A Theme will change the colors and fonts that are used in those sets.

Hello Charles, I have questions that only you can answer I believe. Your document(s) are very informative. So much so, I am lost trying to find the information I need. I have discovered most of what you have written.
I think my main question is how do I download the Syles, Themes on your page to my Word program. I think this is where I get lost. Thank you.

      I found those all by myself! and downloaded. They are word files. How to get them into Word?

        dthomasbrunerThey are not intended to make any change to Word. They are for you to read and look at.

         

        You put them on your computer and open them in Word.
        You can then use the selections in the Design Tab and see how those change what is on the page.
        Use the [Quick] Style Sets and see how the page looks with different sets.

         

        On the Microsoft Answers site recently there was a question about how the Interoffice Memo template was constructed. One of the things I suggested was applying different [Quick] Style Sets and Themes to change the look and feel of that template. You can see the screenshots in the forum. You can download the template yourself and also my modified one. All I did to change the look of my version was to apply a different set and theme to it.
