Problems with subheadings

Hi. Basically I am just wondering if it is possible for me to add a paragraph after the subsection?

So like the following.

Section
  Normal Paragraph 1
    Subsection (1)
      Content for Subsection (1)
  Normal Paragraph 2

 

Currently I dont seem to be able to add Normal paragraph (2). MS Word is forcing me to create a Subsection (2) instead.

 

Any support/advice would be greatly appreciated

    See Outlining in Microsoft Word.

    This should be controlled by the style formatting of "style for following paragraph" but you can always apply the style you want.

     

    Ctrl+Shift+N should apply the Normal style to a paragraph. So should the clear formatting button on the Home Tab.

      Hi Charles. Thanks for getting back. I have indeed tried converting "Paragraph 2" into "Normal", but then it will suddenly be included back to SubSection (1). Do you mind assisting me further on the matter?

        Are you sure that what appears to be paragraphs are true paragraphs, terminated with a pilcrow (¶) if you display nonprinting marks in Word? 

         

        As Charles said, a sample document would help us diagnose the issue. Be sure to remove any sensitive content from your sample.
