Problems of compatibility of formatting in a .doc file
I am trying to convert a .doc document to pdf on Word, but when I do that parts of it (many tables and even chunks of text) disappear. Other non-Mac Word users face the same problem when opening the ...
It sounds like the issue is due to formatting problems in the original .doc file, especially since others are seeing the same glitches. Here are a few quick fixes you can try without reformatting everything:
- Convert to .docx first – Open the file in Word and save it as a .docx, then try exporting to PDF.
- Print to PDF – Instead of “Save As PDF,” use File > Print > Microsoft Print to PDF (or Mac equivalent).
