Page numbering in Word
I am formatting a book and I was doing well but got unstuck with page numbering. I have a section which consists of title page, Copyright, Dedication, etc which I seperated from the body of the book with a Section Break. Then I proceed to numbering. But it numbers the first section too. Deleting it seems to not work for me.
Perhaps I not creating headers (not footers) may be a problem.
I know this is a simple problem and although I am fairly skilled I am old and tired.
So any suggestions will help ennormously
Thanks

Yes, page numbers do go into the headers or footers. These are section properties so you will need a section break. See the following page for step-by-step instructions:

If you use the Cover Page feature in Word (which you can customize) the cover page is not counted in Word's page count.
