Page color and do not block header
I know that in order to set a specific page with page color in word, I need to use a workaround where I draw a rectangle filled with color and then stretch to fill the entire page and set it to hide ...
You have posted this twice. Sometimes it is hard for a new user to see that a question has been posted.

Headers and footers are in a different layer of a Word document and anything placed in the page will cover parts of headers and footers if it overlaps.
