Nested IF statements

My original query was about using  Nesting IF statements

I have three fields

remembered_1

remembered_2

remembered_3

I have been able to introduce an & between the 2nd & 3rd field if all three fields are populated using the following series of IF statements

{ MERGEFIELD Remembered_1 }{ IF { MERGEFIELD Remembered_2 } > "" "{ IF { MERGEFIELD Remembered_3 } > "" ", { MERGEFIELD Remembered_2 }, & { MERGEFIELD Remembered_3 }" " & { MERGEFIELD Remembered_2 }" }}

• Remembered_1 (or)
• Remembered_1 & Remembered_2 (or)
• Remembered_1, Remembered_2 & Remembered_3

This year, however, my fundraising colleague have decided to increase this to 5 fields

remembered_1

remembered_2

remembered_3

remembered_4

remembered_5

so i want it to return

• Remembered_1 (or)
• Remembered_1 & Remembered_2 (or)
• Remembered_1, Remembered_2 & Remembered_3

• Remembered_1, Remembered_2, Remembered_3 & Remembered_4 (or)

• Remembered_1, Remembered_2, Remembered_3, Remembered_4 & Remembered_5 (or)

There will not be anything in Remembered_5 if Remembered 4 is blank etc and not have anything in Remembered_2 if Remembered_1 is not filled in

We have since updated to Word 2016 but not sure that will make much difference.
