Multipage templates - how to access different page layouts
This should be obvious and simple, but I can't seem to figure out how to use a pre-made template that has multiple pages that contain various styles/blocks -- e.g. Cover page, TOC, body text, body page with columns, appendix, etc.
When I create a new document and select a pre-made template, it seems to only show the first page. I don't see how I can add additional pages and then have those pages be in the correct style/section. (e.g. how to add pages and have it align in the template's appendix formatting).

Typically, in Word, you just start typing and you will get to the second page when the first page is "full."
If necessary, you can insert a manual page break with Ctrl+Enter.
By the way, which template is this? If it is one of Word's predefined templates, maybe you can tell us which one.

Can you type on the new document?
If so, try, on a new line, typing "Lorem(55,55)" and pressing Enter. (Do not type the quotation marks.) What happens?
You may be in a part of a document that is protected from editing.
Can you attach the template here using the paperclip icon?

Thanks. Unfortunately, when I go to the building blocks or quick parts, I am unable to add any of those components. I have some things saved in quick parts that I use regularly, but when trying to add any blocks from a template (or components other than what I have manually saved), I can't access them -- literally NOTHING is inserted. Hmmm.

You can manage different layouts of multi-page templates using either the navigation pane or section breaks, both methods work.
