MS will not properly investigate breaches of security. What can I do?

If you are using Word on the web, it isn't unusual that font formatting is unstable, although some improvement has occurred over the years.
In a full version of Word (for Windows or macOS), when the font changes unexpectedly, you will have to double-check that the default font has been set properly for the document. The easiest way is to open the Font dialog box, set the properties you want for the body text, and then click Set as Default. When prompted, choose to change your template.
