Mirror margins, not book fold
I want mirrored margins for my booklet, printed on half sheets, portrait orientation, double sided. It keeps wanting to print as book fold, only printing on one end of the paper. It's there a way to override the book fold setting here? Thank you.

To print a booklet on half sheets with mirrored margins in portrait orientation and double-sided printing, follow these steps: First, ensure your document setup in your software includes the correct page size (half of the final printed size), portrait orientation, and mirrored margins for binding. Next, access the printer settings within your software's Print dialog box, and disable any book fold settings or automatic duplexing options. Look for the "Two-Sided Printing" or "Duplex Printing" option and set https://garagedoorrepairmechanicsvilleva.com/how-to-repair-a-damaged-garage-door/ to "Short-Edge Binding" or "Flip on Short Edge." If needed, access the printer properties through your computer's Control Panel or System Preferences, and make sure the duplex and booklet printing settings match your requirements. Lastly, print a test page to verify that the pages are ordered correctly, mirrored margins are maintained, and both sides of the sheet are printed accurately. If issues persist, consult your printer's user manual or seek assistance from customer support for your printer or software.
Is this Word for Windows?
The "Book fold" option creates a booklet, which means that pages are printed in such a way that you can fold the sheets in half and put them together in the correct page order. This will be easier to accomplish if you printer is capable of printing duplex.
Word doesn't let you enable "Book fold" and "Mirror margins" at the same time. These are mutually exclusive options in the Page Setup dialog box. You can fake mirror margins by setting the left margin equal to the right margin, of course.

It is Word for Windows. The booklet setting seems like a great way to do it, IF it would work right. That's why I decided to print the pages with the mirrored margins. But that didn't work well either. I see there are instructions below for printing half sheets, double sided, with mirrored margins. I'll give that a try. Thanks.
