List Tables

I am looking for information about the difference between List Table and Grid Table in the Table Styles group (Table Design Tabs menu). I don't see the difference.

On internet, I can't find anything as each time I got information about the creation of a list of tables (via References Tabs menu) and it is not what I want.

 

Any information about this?

    It appears that Grid Tables have a border between the columns and that is not the case with List Tables. However, you can modify any table so that it is exactly what you want.

      OK, thanks. I was expecting something more than a display/format difference. It sounds to me a bit of waste space.
