Lagging cursor in Word while using arrow keys

Instead of Mendeley Desktop with Word add-in, you can try Mendeley Reference Manager and use their "Medeley Cite" app for Word.
I uninstalled Mendeley Desktop + the Word plugin and installed Mendeley Reference Manager and the Mendeley Cite add-in for Word, per your suggestion, and this seems to have mostly fixed the lagging cursor issue. This was after uninstalling and reinstalling Mendeley Desktop + Word plugin and Office, which didn't fix the issue. Now, when I use the arrows on my keyboard to move my cursor there is much less of a lag and the cursor stops when I lift my finger! However, the shift + left arrow key issue that other users have reported wasn't something that I experienced before making these changes but this issue is now present.
