Inserting an A4 image into a page
When I want to insert an A4-sized image onto a blank A4 page, I keep getting an extra blank page, even though all margins are set to 0.
How can I configure Word so that the A4 image is placed neatly on the A4 page without creating an extra blank page?
Thank you in advance.
Insert the image so that the Text Wrapping is set to In-front of, or behind the text.

The extra page appears because the image is inserted In Line with Text. Word keeps a paragraph after the image, and an A4-height image leaves no room for it.
- Set Layout > Size to A4 and the margins to 0.
- Insert and select the image.
- Choose Picture Format > Wrap Text > Behind Text.
- Set its size to 21 cm × 29.7 cm.
- Under More Layout Options > Position, set the horizontal and vertical positions to 0 cm relative to Page.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + 8 and delete any page break or extra paragraph on the blank page.
This should keep the image on one page. For edge-to-edge printing, the printer must also support borderless A4 printing.
Insert the image so that the Text Wrapping is set to In-front of, or behind the text.
