inline equation font size

hi all -

 

See the following exam examples: I want to have a consistent font size for math formulas, but the A B C D is visibly small  due to inline, and I can't seem to make it "display" without losing the overall format. Any solutions? TIA

    Did you mean something like this?

     

     

    I just played with font sizes. You can also highlight the inline text and increase/decrease augment size.
