Hello danielma_te ,
there can be many reasons unrelated to Word for Word to behave like this.
What matters is - does it show in Print preview correctly or not?
Does it print correctly or not?
Just remember, pictures take a lot of memory and if they are high resolution, unnecessarily high resolution for purposes needed, try to compact them.
Hope this helps.

danielma_te I do see the issue with a docx file. However, I use Snagit from www.techsmith.com to make a screen capture of the image before it degrades, and I insert that, it does not degrade. I have attached a copy of the Snagit screen capture.
