How to instal MathType into Word

I am using Microsoft Office 365 on a 2021 iMac M1 computer with 16 GB MEMORY running Sonoma 14.5. I have received a warning message that the MathType addon is not installed.  When I try to install it, the Install Addons option is greyed out.  I spent about 45 minutes with Microsoft Word support, and they did not know how to fix it, and referred me here.  I have reinstalled Office 365 twice and that has not fixed the problem.  Help me, please, if anyone can.  Thanks

    MathType is a third-party add-in and can be handled through their own installer.

    You install MathType and run it, and it is automatically integrated into the Insert→Equations tab of Word.
