How to change list index with number bullets
I want to continue the automated numbering from 2.01 to 2.02 and so on, but the bulleted list will only allow me to go to 1.03 or 2.
as you can see, 2.01 isn't part of the list:
I can't get the list to jump to 2.01.
You need to set up a multilevel list. The principles are discussed in the article at https://shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/numbering20072010.html. Note that the article uses the built-in headings as examples, but you should use other (non-heading) styles, such as List Number, List Number 2, etc.
