How do I Stop Word Switching to Multiple Pages View
Yet again, Microsoft is making our work days just a little harder.

Make sure that you send feedback to Microsoft. Word developers do not read these forums.

6,307 items of feedback have been offered for word. If you filter those suggestions by the options such as "We're working on this" and other such options that indicate actual action by microsoft do you know how many times feedback has mattered and actually yielded an improvement. 7. 7 times out of 6,307. They do not care at all about us beyond whether we continue to subscribe.

Note that you can use Jay Freedman's add-in, which provides more flexibility with saving view settings than the user interface has ever made, even in older versions of Word.
P.S. I have no idea how Microsoft prioritizes suggestions. Only Microsoft would be able to answer that, and they rarely discuss these things publicly.

Do they read or care at all about the feedback? I have submitted many basic and useful bits and I have never gotten even the tiniest sense that it mattered or was reviewed at all. I think they just have that to claim that they can be reached and they care.
If you go to the feedback portal for Word you will see they have received 6,307 items of feedback. If you then filter the results to only select for the options that may indicate some actual action by microsoft do you know how many pieces of the feedback were acted upon?

(selected the following statuses, Great news! We've added this; We're considering this; We're looking into this; We're working on this; and We've made improvements) For all of those categories, for all of those thousands of people that took time to provide feedback, 7 seem to have been acted upon.
Sure, maybe some suggestions aren't updated, or maybe the idea does stick but they forget to tag an improvement to a request... but I think it is fair to conclude that they do not care or value user feedback really at all.
