How do I Stop Word Switching to Multiple Pages View
If you want to be able to save the zoom ratio and view with each document, you can make use of the SaveViewLocMulti add-in by Jay Freedman. See https://jay-freedman.info/.
thanks
- Seriously70Aug 24, 2023Copper ContributorMatt, Under the VIEW tab, there are options to select "One Page" or "Multiple Pages". If you click the One Page icon, MS Word stops the multi-page presentation mode. I read that choosing the "Vertical" will scroll top/bottom, versus left/right. - PaulH1885Oct 01, 2024Copper ContributorThat doesn't work. As soon as you close Word, it opens in multi-page view the next time you open it.
- davidrossallAug 29, 2024Brass ContributorI have the same question, and I agree that some previous answers don't really address it. I want to stop Word from going into multiple-page view in the first place. If it does, I then have to switch back not only to my preferred single view, but also to set the magnification again. I just want to be allowed to keep my view when, for whatever reason, the window size changes. - Stefan_BlomAug 29, 2024MVPAt the moment, using Jay Freedman's add-in is the only way to save the view and zoom with individual documents. The built-in support was removed from Word about a decade ago.
