files suddenly won't open in word for mac 16.26.

In Word for Mac 16.26, when I try to open some files, a ope up reads :Pop up reads: Word cannot open the document: user does not have privileges.

Files on desktop now are darkened. This has happened suddenly and seemingly randomly.

Please advise,

    This is common on a MAC, run an office repair should help... If this doesnt work let me know
