Equation Editor Wrong Highlight Color In Dark Mode
The highlight color in the Equation Editor is not correct when using dark mode in Word. The white text is unreadable. I’m seeing posts mentioning this issue from 4 years ago. How has this not been patched? How do I fix this myself if Microsoft won't?

Surprised this still exists after years. Dark mode should improve readability, not make equations invisible

I Literally Can't believe this has not been fixed.
You can select the option "Never change the document page color" at File > Options > General to get the correct colors of text (it affects not only equations).

Jargon alert: This is the selection color, not the highlighting color.
This is a user-to-user support forum.
Microsoft is not hearing about your problems from what you post here. You are discussing a problem with your fellow users here. We can give good advice about how to work with Word as it is and give suggestions for making it work properly.
Designers and their supervisors do see feedback. (You will almost certainly not get a direct response to that feedback but they do see it.)
Here is more about that:
I suggest using the public feedback portal so other users can see your feedback, comment and vote. If you want, you can post the URL of your feedback with your question here to lead others with the same problem to your feedback. Be the “squeaky wheel” that gets fixed!

My work around is to change all text colour to grey while working. Then change back when done.
I want to bump this because it's a massive problem that impacts productivity if we rely on word for equations. It's very frustrating that we get the options for customising this taken away, only to be left with the absolute worst possible choice. Microsoft PLEASE FIX THIS NOW!
