drag images doesn't follow the mouse path

Has anybody found a solution? It happens to me also and it is super annoying.

For me, images don't move with the cursor, but they move to the final position of the cursor when I let go of the left mouse button. Which is rubbish because you can't position objects precisely.
Needless to say, it doesn't happen all the time 🙄.

Try holding the Alt key as you drag & drop an object. This overrides any document grid settings in the document.

I've got the exact same issue. From what I've worked out it might have some conflict with view settings. If I zoom out it works fine, zoom in and it doesn't follow the mouse (on multi page view).
If I work out an exact fix I'll let you know.
