Definition of boxplot outliers in Word boxplot-/whiskers chart?
JoakimNorderfeldt From
"A box and whisker chart shows distribution of data into quartiles, highlighting the mean and outliers. The boxes may have lines extending vertically called “whiskers”. These lines indicate variability outside the upper and lower quartiles, and any point outside those lines or whiskers is considered an outlier."

Thank you Doug_Robbins_Word_MVP!
What I am wondering was how these outliers are calculated in boxplot- and whiskers charts in word? What makes a value to be included in the whiskers and what makes it an outlier?

JoakimNorderfeldt I imagine that with a good knowledge of statistics, the definition would be understandable. My knowledge of statistics ends after the last s in the word statistics. That is, I know how to spell it, but that is about all. OK, I do know what average and median mean, so perhaps I know a little more than I said above.
