Creating footer with different content on each page without disrupting the page numbering
I need to know how to keep my page numbers from restarting while following the steps on unlinking footer from previous page. I have followed all the steps in this how to- https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/configure-headers-and-footers-for-different-sections-of-a-document-94332643-a6e9-46aa-ab29-064f1d356db6
However, when following these steps, by creating page breaks, it is disrupting my page numbers. I tried following the steps without the creating page breaks and just unlinking the footers, and that doesn't work.
It is a new requirement for my job, that I have to have page numbers and be able to have notes about each individual page in the footer.
Please Help! TIA

There should be no conflict with having page numbers.
Take a look at the StyleRef Field.
You should not need section breaks for this and they will unduly complicate your document.
