changing the location of footnotes
For an academic article I have put footnotes on the bottom of each page, but I have been asked to make them appear at the end of the document, rather than on each page. How can do this?

Convert the footnotes to endnotes.
In Word for Windows, right-click a footnote in the footnote area and choose Note Options. In the Footnote and Endnote, click the Convert button and choose to convert all footnotes to endnotes.
