changes to an existing document were not saved
the file itself is saved but the information in the document is not. Two days of work have disappeared as a result. Can only get the file back not the information.
- Where was the file saved? If it was saved to OneDrive, right click on it in OneDrive and then left click on Version History and see if an earlier version is more complete.

The file is saved in Word. I've tried to get it back with those options Word offers, but it all didn't work. Have created hundreds of documents and never had this problem. Have chosen to recreate the assignment. Work with autosave from now on, thanks for the responseDoug_Robbins_Word_MVP
- Files are saved BY Word, NOT IN Word. Where was the file saved. Note that AutoSave only works with files that are saved on OneDrive.
