Change caption numbering style - Word
Hi, I'm trying to add captions to my figures in a Word document. However I need to use this format: Figure (figure_number) - (chapter_number) For example: Chapter 2 ... Figure 1-2 The def...
Word doesn't include an option to change the order between chapter and figure numbers.
What you can do is insert a caption in the <chapter #>-<figure #> format and then manually rearrange the numbers. Select the result and save it as an AutoText entry which can be easily reused in this or other documents.
