AUTO-INSERT ?
In my document, Word is automatically repeating lines from page 1 onto page 2. I am unable to delete them or edit them directly. They do reflect in real time any edits made to the page 1 lines.

Is this in a table? In that case, maybe you have inadvertently enabled the "Repeat as header row at the top of each page" option on the Row tab of Table Properties. Clear that option for the affected tables.
