Alternate numbering and bullet in MS Word
I wish to get the format as follows:
1.
Bullet
2.
Bullet
3.
Bullet
How do I achieve this? How can I change my default bullet?

As a followe up to Stefan's response, see:

You want to have your styles existing and then attach your bullets and numbering through the Define New MultiLevel List dialog (which can handle both bullets and numbering).
If you need more, I can give you links to videos about using this with numbering.
You can set up two paragraph styles: style "A" includes a number format and style "B" is not numbered. Then set "A" as the "Style for following paragraph" for style "B" and vice versa (the setting is in the Modify Style dialog box).
This is similar to creating Question and Answer styles as discussed in the article at http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/QandA2007.htm.
