Adding / editing template groups
Hi there, I'm hoping someone here can help as I've not had much luck investigating this so far.
I have noticed that when selecting 'New' in Word there are three groups of templates available:
- Office
- Custom
- Ecoscape Australia (this is the name of our company).
Everyone in our company seems to have the same three options.
I would like to put all our regularly used templates in the 'Ecoscape Australia' group so that everyone can access them. I'm not sure how or when this template group was set up, but it currently has a single template in it which is outdated. Please see the screenshot below for clarification.
Does anyone know how I can edit this group, and where this template is stored? Am I able to add /remove groups of templates?
Any help would be much appreciated.

@EmilyDickonson Document Templates on the Developer Tab has nothing to do with this. That is about the attached template and about Template Add-Ins.

I set up something similar on our company's sharepoint server. It is a separate sharepoint library...
Create an organization assets library - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn
That library is automatically available as a template source in Microsoft Office desktop apps. If you have a Sharepoint server but not sure which library might be your template location, go to the top level of your Sharepoint (it may be a hub if you have multiple Sharepoint sites) and search for *.dotx to find the outdated Word template. Copy all the templates (true .dotx, .xltx, .pptx files) you want people to use to that folder.

In File → Options → Customize ribbon → Check Developer Tools Next, use the Document Templates button in the Developer Tools tab to manage groups of templates.
